Did We Mention We Like Feedback?

We deal with a lot of feedback – We kind of have a thing for it. You can always email Michal directly at support@activegrade.com, and you can leave an idea, or a problem, or a question – or abject praise! – on our GetSatisfaction forum.

Today we’re adding another, much easier, way to give us feedback to the top of your screens:

Please, just click one of those guys whenever you feel like it. Thumbs up when you like something. Thumbs down when you don’t like something, or when something was annoying. If you’re not sure if you should click a thumb, go ahead and click it – you’ll get the option to elaborate if you like.

Hopefully you’re more constructive – or at least more polite – with your students. ;)

If you don’t want to elaborate, don’t bother. Just the thumb up or thumb down is useful to us – it will also record which part of ActiveGrade you’re looking at, so we can say, “hmm, there are ten thousand thumbs down on the grading policy screens” and go from there.

We’re really looking forward to next semester – we have some neat things planned in terms of speeding things up and improving workflows. The more feedback you give now, the better we can make sure that ActiveGrade stays useful – and gets MORE useful.

Thanks for teaching, thanks for using ActiveGrade, and, if I don’t write to you again before then, have a good winter break! I’m looking forward to adding your many thumbs to our discussions about “what part should we work on next?”

  1. [...] use all of these tips in my presentations (e.g. lectures about trigonometry), and they work well in ActiveGrade too.  Caution: only use the Boom Drop  in advanced classes.Share [...]

Before we start: Is your classroom ready for standards or competency based assessment?

We ask because ActiveGrade relies heavily on "standards-based assessment and reporting" (SBAR). If you are unfamiliar with this concept we can provide additional resources to get started.
